Scribe Writing Competition

Scribe Writing Competition

Imbewu’s endeavor to develop South African contemporary theatre can be seen in its SCrIBE script writing competition . This national competition provides opportunity for writers to have their work produced and showcased. The Competition in its development has seen it grow into a three tier level of finalists. Five final scripts will be selected from our panel of judges to be part of our stage readings with three final script selected. A post- discussion with industry professionals and actors, we believe, could be of tremendous value to these new stories which are already well on their way to experiencing exciting futures on stages across the country.
